Paul joined Quayle Munro in 2014 from Canaccord (formerly Hawkpoint) and focuses on key verticals of the financial services industry, advising businesses involved in principal risk taking, advice, product distribution, software, services and data within: 

  • Lending – in particular banking, credit and speciality finance, consumer credit, property finance, SME finance, asset and vehicle finance and NPLs
  • Insurance – general lines and life assurance
  • Asset and wealth management
  • Financial markets

Clients include private and public companies, private equity and financial investors, founders and entrepreneurs. Paul’s experience is international and includes a wide range of corporate finance transactions, such as:

The sales of BlueStep Bank to EQT, Voogd & Voogd to the Rothschild Group, Target to Tech Mahindra, Lowell to TDR, MCS to Cerberus, Singers Asset Finance to Shawbrook, Marlin to Cabot Credit Management, Ocean Finance to OneSavings Bank / Think Money, the merger of Windsor and Hyperion and ULTIMO to B2 Holdings

The acquisitions of Ascot Lloyd via its merger with Bellpenny, Getback (for a consortium of investment funds including Abris Capital), Cabot Credit Management for Encore Capital and JC Flowers and three transactions for Chesnara; Save & Prosper and Direct Line Life in the UK and Waard Group in the Netherlands, including associated debt and equity raisings

Raising debt and equity – examples include acting for Bellpenny on raising finance from Ares, WeSwap (investment from Ascot Capital), for Succession (from Inflexion Private Equity), for Capquest (from TowerBrook), for Aldermore Bank and for the Kaupthing Bank estate

Paul graduated from Durham University with a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics.
